A Window To The World is a creative collaboration between KesselsKramer, screenwriter Efthimis Filippou (The Lobster), and 62 international artists. Staying at home during the Covid-19 crisis, we found ourselves staring out of our windows, realising that this was our only physical connection to the outside world. We wondered: if these windows could talk, what would they tell us?
To celebrate this new medium as a subject matter, we came up with the idea of creating a story, breaking it down into sections, and inviting different artists to bring it to life in their home windows. It started in Amsterdam, then it hopped over to Greece, and then it travelled around the world. In less than two weeks, together (apart), we created a film and photo collection, featuring 62 windows, with a message for us, humans.
