The Covid-19 pandemic brought a lot of industries to a halt, and cinema and film were not spared. Now that the lockdown in the Netherlands is lifted, new movies are released and cinemas are reopening. The only thing that’s missing: visitors. To invite Dutch cinephiles back into their natural habitat, the campaign highlights the pains of home cinema, making the real thing all the more appealing.

The campaign, including two (cinema and TV) commercials, social assets, and a website (www.ganaardefilm.nl), shows some of the Netherlands’ most famous actors in the middle of their play when they are abruptly disturbed. The underlying message is clear: ganaardefilm.nl ("gotothemovies.nl") because only in the cinema you get to experience a film to the fullest.
